The Boone County Board is a legislative body responsible for policy decisions related to operating County government. The Board is comprised of 12 elected members, four from each of the three districts in Boone County. The Chair and Vice Chair are elected by the members of the board, and their terms are typically two or four years. The Board meets every Monday at 9:00 a.m., except on the first Monday of the month, subject to change for payroll meetings. If Monday is a holiday, the Board meets on the following Tuesday. The Board is open to the public, and all committee meetings are open to the public, except for Closed Session.
