I decided to run because I’ve watched our County Commission drift toward political extremism instead of focusing on practical, local solutions. While families are worried about housing costs, infrastructure, and growth, too much time has been spent on ideological fights that don’t improve daily life in Knox County. As a banker and small business advisor, I believe government should operate with a plan, measurable outcomes, and accountability. Over the next five years, I want Knox County to be proactive instead of reactive — planning infrastructure before it becomes a crisis, allowing housing types working families and seniors can afford, and supporting local businesses so opportunity grows here at home.
I’m a proud East Tennessean, former restaurant operator, small business advisor, and Vice President of Mortgage Lending. I’ve managed teams, balanced budgets, and led high-pressure operations where accountability matters every day. In finance, I help families plan for long-term stability and work with builders and businesses on strategic growth. I’ve also served in community leadership roles across Knox County including Keep Knoxville Beautiful and the Farragut West Knoxville Chamber of Commerce. I understand housing, infrastructure, and economic development from both the front lines and the boardroom, and I believe government should focus on measurable results — not rhetoric.
The core responsibility of a County Commissioner is stewardship — of taxpayer dollars, long-term planning, and public trust. That means setting a responsible budget, investing in infrastructure and schools, and ensuring county services operate efficiently. Commissioners must balance growth with community character, support economic opportunity, and provide oversight of county departments. Just as important, the role requires transparency, accessibility, and a commitment to solving local problems.
I bring steadiness, discipline, and a long-term mindset. I’m comfortable making tough decisions, but I don’t make them emotionally or impulsively. I believe in preparing thoroughly, asking thoughtful questions, and understanding trade-offs before voting. I’m collaborative by nature and value input from people who disagree with me. Most importantly, I don’t lose sight of who local government is for — the families, workers, and small businesses who deserve thoughtful, grounded leadership.
First, responsible growth and housing policy — allowing housing types that working families, seniors, and young professionals can actually afford, especially in planned growth areas.

Second, proactive infrastructure planning — shifting from reactive fixes to long-term road, utility, and capital improvement strategies that protect taxpayer dollars.

Third, economic opportunity — supporting local businesses, streamlining permitting, and ensuring Knox County remains competitive while maintaining the character that makes our community strong.
I’m a Knox Countian who believes local government should be practical, transparent, and focused on results. I’m not running to fight culture wars — I’m running to help our county plan responsibly, grow strategically, and stay affordable for working families. My background in business and finance has taught me to measure outcomes and think long term. Voters can expect steady leadership, open communication, and a commitment to putting Knox County’s future ahead of partisan noise.
