My top fiscal priorities are education, public safety, and responsible infrastructure. Strong schools prepare our workforce and attract families and businesses. Public safety ensures our communities remain safe. Infrastructure investment—roads, utilities, and facilities—supports growth and economic opportunity while maintaining the quality of life that makes Cecil County a great place to live.
I support balanced growth that preserves Cecil County’s rural character while allowing responsible development where infrastructure already exists. Policies should encourage smart growth, protect farmland and open space, and coordinate with municipalities on housing and infrastructure planning so schools, roads, and utilities can support future growth.
First, support small businesses and entrepreneurs through partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce and local organizations. Second, invest in workforce development, including skilled trades and career pathways for students. Third, attract employers through responsible planning and programs like the Enterprise Zone. Collaboration between government, schools, and business is key to sustainable growth.
Keeping Cecil County affordable means responsible budgeting and maintaining stable tax rates while supporting economic growth. Expanding workforce opportunities, supporting small businesses, and investing in infrastructure can strengthen the local economy. I also support thoughtful housing development to increase supply while preserving the character of our communities.
Workforce housing requires collaboration between the County, municipalities, and developers. I support responsible housing development in areas with existing infrastructure while protecting farmland and rural areas. Encouraging mixed housing options and coordinating with economic development efforts can help ensure teachers, first responders, and working families can afford to live here.
I am a husband, father of four, recovery advocate, and community leader. I serve as Chairman of the Behavioral Health Advisory Council, Vice Chairman of the Cecil County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Drug Free Cecil and the YES Coalition. My work focuses on collaboration, practical solutions, and strengthening families, schools, and our local economy.
