1). Preserve the beauty and serenity of Sunset Hills as a quiet bedroom community with large lots and few businesses, which gives the city a unique personality. 2). Promote commonsense governance to avoid senseless, unproductive and wasteful lawsuits. 3). Ensure thoughtful growth that will honor the needs of both residents and businesses.
I have a uniquely comprehensive background which includes public safety, having served 10 years as a St. Louis city and Sunset Hills police officer; governance as a five-plus-year alderman; municipal finance by serving nine years on the financial committee, three as chairman; and public works with 25 years’ experience in roadbuilding and pavement markings.

Representing the residents and giving them a voice. Most immediately, careful stewardship of the parks and stormwater tax. Additionally, maintaining oversight of city business by a thorough reading of all legislation and budgets, contracts and grant applications that come before the board.
I served as Ward 3 alderman from 2020 until my recent move to Ward 4 which required me to resign in December 2025. My colleagues elected me president of the board. The mayor appointed me chair of public works. I read all materials on the agenda and persist in asking questions to understand all issues. I ask for deadlines and follow up to ensure priorities are met.
