E-1, Education is paramount for our future as a world leader. In order for our nation to compete and lead from the front we must raise and train the next generation of leaders, inventors, tradesman, scientists, and entrepreneurs. Additionally, we need to educate those individuals who have been incarcerated to break that chain of social drain. E-2, Economics is and will remain a challenge going forward. We need fair taxation with good representation. To often our leadership has put self interest first and not what’s good for the country as priority number one. An America first policy is critical in order for our families and children to have a better life. E-3, Energy, we need all forms of energy. Energy is the life blood of the American Economy. We can not and should not cut our use of fossil fuels. We need all forms of energy to grow our nation and economy. We need Clean Coal, Oil, Natural Gas, Nuclear, Hydroelectric, Hydrogen, Wind, and Solar.
I am a retired military officer with over 20 years of active federal service. I am a small business owner in manufacturing. I am a healthcare professional, working as a PA in Cardiothoracic Surgery. I am also the MS Chairman for Term Limits. I have a lifetime worth of experience in serving my fellow man. On personal level: I’m a Christian, a follower of Christ I married my childhood sweetheart and we have been married nearly 47 years.
In MS we have several healthcare education programs for RN, PA’s, NP’s, MD’s, and etc. We are educating healthcare providers but keep losing them to other states over economics. I would push for a program to maintain these new graduates as well as other occupations (none medical) by offering a debt forgiveness program once they graduate from their field of study. The individual would need remain in MS and work in their field of study. In Ms we are suffering from what I call a brain drain and losing a critical asset, our youth. Additionally, we need to expand the role of our mid-level care providers such as PA’s and NP’s giving them greater autonomy as providers.
We should allow individuals who are willing to assimilate into American society. We need individuals, who can add to our nation. These new citizens need to be able add to or society and not be a drain and dependent on welfare. While I was in the military I worked with several soldiers who enlisted served with honor and who became US Citizens based on their service. I have a friend who came to America at age 3 y/o. He has attended the police academy and is working as county deputy sheriff. But he does not have American Citizen, he should be granted citizenship.
Our nation would not exist if other nations had not supported our Founding Fathers. We should encourage the expansion of democracy across the globe. This does not mean nation building. But rather supporting the people in other nations with their pursuit for freedom. We have successfully done this in other countries such as South Korea, Germany, and Japan.
