The courts may specialize in civil, criminal, juvenile, or family law matters. Four-year term.

I worked with the HBA to create a handbook called "Your Day in Protective Order Court" that teaches self-represented litigants how to properly litigate their cases. I will continue to create online and written content to teach litigants how to most affordably resolve their cases successfully in the 280th District Court. In addition, I will continue to have translators available for all languages at no charge to the litigant.
The affordability of litigation is the most pressing issue that litigants in my court face. Victims of Domestic Violence are usually unrepresented and unable to afford private attorneys. As I stated above, I will continue to create content that educates SRLs on getting evidence admitted into court, lodging objections, and stating their case in a clear and succinct manner.
