I will go to the courthouse every day. I will work every day. I will hold hearings for those who want them. I will try cases and I will rule timely. I will treat all parties and their lawyers with courtesy and fairness. I will base my rulings on the law, the facts, and common sense.
I will set docket control orders in place and I will apply them fairly and reasonably to assure resolution on the merits as much as possible. As stated above, I will work every day and consistently apply the law as it is written. And I will rule, and do so in a timely fashion. I know what lawyers and clients go through in the litigation process and in the courtroom based on my 40-plus years of trial practice. To the best of my ability I intend to put that experience to good use for the citizens of Harris County.
