What is your approach to federal infrastructure investment, and how would you prioritize funding for energy, transportation, flood mitigation, and resilience needs in your district?
If elected to office, what will you do to address rising costs, especially with regard to groceries, childcare, and housing?
What is your position on federal immigration enforcement and detention policies? What specific changes, if any, would you support to how those policies are implemented?
What changes, if any, to current laws related to voter registration, voter ID, and mail-in ballots would you support and why?
Houston is the energy capital of the world, and the next Representative for this district must be committed to keeping Houston on the cutting edge of energy production. In my 30 plus years in the oil & gas industry, I’ve kept Houston and our surrounding communities at the forefront of energy and will continue to do so in Congress. As our community is aware, we are frequent victims of flooding, especially in the Kingwood area, and I will work with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to increase funding for flood mitigation and save our neighborhoods from the next storm.
The cost of living is out of control and it’s crushing middle class families. Congress has failed in its primary role as a co-equal branch of government and ceded its tariff authority to the executive branch. This has led to wildly destructive tariffs that have sent our prices skyrocketing. The pointless and costly war in Iran has only worsened the situation by sending gas and diesel prices through the roof, which has a significant impact on the price of goods and services. Congress should also work to expand tax credits for childcare services and ensure that local municipalities ease zoning restrictions and work with developers to increase the amount of affordable housing built throughout the US.
We need a secure border which the current administration has accomplished while reforming our immigration system to send criminals to their country of origin while implementing a system that gradually provides citizenship to those who have been in the country for years, raising families, paying taxes and obeying the law. Unfortunately, ICE enforcement has been a disaster. As we’ve seen recently with fatal shootings in Minnesota, Maine and now in Houston, our immigrant community has faced a hostile federal agency that has left Houston reeling. We need to reverse the expansion of ICE by returning the agency to its pre-2025 funding levels and directing its day-to-day operations to deporting violent criminals.
I believe that Texas has an ideal electoral system which allows for in-person voting, mail-in voting and county-wide voting. There are clear instructions for registering to vote and every voter requires identification to cast a ballot. Texas has secure and valid elections and I look forward to voting in the 2026 election and earning the support of the community.
