As Assistant Treasurer since 2018, I manage county investments and daily operations. My legislative experience, MBA, former educator and leadership training uniquely qualify me to serve.
The County is implementing a new data system, and I have embraced it as a foundation for improvement. I actively participate, provide daily operational feedback, and cross-train staff to prevent disruptions. I measure performance, identify gaps, and refine processes. I continuously seek staff input to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.
I will leverage my investment training and daily experience managing county funds to ensure prudent oversight. I will implement diversified, low-risk strategies aligned with state law, maintain strict internal controls, and conduct regular reconciliations. I will monitor market conditions daily and provide transparent, timely reporting to Commissioners Court and the public.
Managing rapid growth while protecting taxpayer dollars is the top challenge. Williamson County is one of Texas's fastest growing, straining infrastructure and budgets. I will leverage financial acumen to spend wisely, manage our strong fiscal position, and safeguard against uncertainties while ensuring the Treasurer's Office remains efficient and reliable.
Eight years of hands-on experience, investment training through the Texas Association of Counties, NACO leadership certification, and an MBA strengthen my financial expertise. My legislative experience provides insight into government funding. As a former teacher, I know every dollar counts. I am committed to transparent, accountable stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
