28 years of executive experience including 11 years as a school superintendent leading one of the highest-performing ISDs in the state, where I managed over $1 billion in construction projects.
We must tackle housing affordability through smart growth and wise fiscal management. Attracting commercial businesses expands our tax base and provides opportunities for property tax relief. To support the unhoused, we should partner with proven non-profits and faith-based groups to distribute grants for emergency shelter and mental health care.
Williamson County has an excellent Long Range Transportation Plan that has prepared us to respond to the exponential growth and plan responsibly for the future. As County Judge, I have also worked with CAMPO to secure $130 million in grants to help reduce the burden on the taxpayer. Our county must continue to work collaboratively with the state and cities to fund regional transportation projects.
1. Safety: Keep our county safe by supporting law enforcement with competitive pay and needed resources as well as improve disaster preparedness. 2. Infrastructure: Manage rapid growth through practical mobility solutions and build out critical infrastructure. 3. Fiscal Discipline: Protect taxpayers through conservative budgeting, avoiding wasteful spending, and making services more efficient.
As head of disaster response for the county, I led through the 2025 floods and recent ice storm. We must provide first responders with the equipment and advanced training needed to respond to disasters, work closely with state and local agencies, and build partnerships with the faith-based community to ensure that we are prepared for immediate emergency response and long-term recovery.
4-term Cedar Park Council prepared me to manage growth: I lowered tax rates, created our Homestead Exemption, served on CAPCOG's Exec & Clean Air Board, & hold a UT degree in Sustainability and Econ.
As County Judge, I'll use our Court’s budget and policy authority to expand housing options along transit corridors, uphold non-discrimination standards, and seek out partnerships for supportive housing for vulnerable residents. I'll back civil legal aid, housing navigation services, and manage county finances responsibly - delivering property tax relief to keep residents stably housed.
Rapid growth demands infrastructure that works. I'll expand and integrate water and wastewater systems so our county can grow responsibly, close broadband gaps so every home and business gets online, invest in transit that moves people and goods safely and efficiently, and build the economic development infrastructure that attracts good jobs and strengthens our tax base for generations to come.
My top priorities as County Judge are: modernize public safety with a Medical Examiner's Office, a Crimes Against Children task force, and address mental health service gaps; protect and connect our water systems, fund flood mitigation projects, and guard against data center and overdevelopment impacts; modernize the transit plan to ease congestion; bring fiscal discipline for real tax relief.
With my CAPCOG experience, I’ve already coordinated on regional emergency plans. As Judge, I'll strengthen CodeRED and WarnCentralTexas, build joint operations protocols and mutual aid agreements with neighbor counties, run joint drills, and fix access gaps like Sandy Creek—reachable through Williamson County, yet stranded when coordination failed. Preparedness means showing up before a disaster.
