I have a master's degree in Public Policy. I'm a licensed attorney specializing in Child Protective Services and Criminal Justice. I have served as a Harris County prosecutor. I have been the incumbent state representative for HD 137 for the past decade and a half. I have won award after award for my advocacy and legislative efforts.

But my most important qualifications is one that has never changed: I am a child of Southwest Houston. I grew up here. I live here with my family now. I am passionate about the beauty of our community. I sing it's praises, and cry for those suffering here. I will continue to fight for our community as an extension of my own family.
It is monstrously cruelty that we are still asking this damn question in 2026. The rest of the world has figured out how to provide basic health services except the wealthiest nation in the world.

Here it is, no pulled punches: The American experiment with this patchwork, hodge-podge healthcare system, rife with corruption and fraud, has failed, and it has actually hurt Americans more than it's helped. Today, even working people who have good health coverage still fear the unexpected expenses, and potentially needing to beg their insurance company for their lives.

We're paying more and getting less under the current system. Let's stop this nonsense.
The Texas private school voucher program takes from the poor and gives it to the rich. It is immoral, unethical, and a slap in the face to the core tenants of just about every major religion.

Texas had a $16 billion hole in the education budget. Republicans decided that $8.5 billion was enough to patch this hole... that way there's billions left over for their private school voucher scam. So, now, schools are closing across the state (HISD: 12 campuses) so wealthy donors can continue to send their kids to pirate school, but, this time, you get to pay for it.

Stop stealing, end vouchers. Fully fund our damn schools. Pay a lot teachers more. Stop leaving our children behind!
What Texans really need is a responsive government that actually gives a crap about it's people, and not one that just mouths the words and then go back to serving themselves and their bosses.

For nearly 30 years, Republicans have single-handedly run this state. They took a good education system and crashed it into the ground. They gutted healthcare. They deregulated and privatized our power grid to reward failure. We are the best state in the nation for business, and dead last for people.

Democrats are far from blameless, but they have consistently fought for better paying jobs, affordable healthcare, and the gold star education system our kids deserve.

If voters give Democrats the shot, we will change the state for the better.
