I’ve served as a parent, substitute, staff, and Coordinator of Talent & Retention in DPS, and now as SVRA Talent Coordinator. With military and community service, I’m committed to student success.
The greatest challenges I hope to manage if elected are improving student achievement, strengthening accountability, and supporting staff. Too many of our students are below grade level, and we must provide teachers with resources and parents with pathways to be engaged. With increased City Council funding, I’ll ensure dollars are used efficiently to directly impact classrooms. Supporting and retaining staff is also critical, we can’t afford to lose great educators. Finally, I’ll work to build stronger connections between schools, families, and the community so every student has a fair chance to succeed.
I am the best candidate because I bring experience at nearly every level of Danville Public Schools—as a parent, substitute teacher, Coach, administrative support staff, and Coordinator of Talent and Retention. I understand the challenges our students, teachers, and families face and know how to work toward solutions. My current work in workforce development has shown I can build partnerships that create opportunities for students beyond graduation. I am committed to accountability, efficiency, and transparency, ensuring City Council’s investments directly benefit classrooms. With a proven record of service to Danville, I will keep students first and work to give every child a fair chance to succeed.
What I like most about where I live is the sense of community. Danville is a place where people genuinely care about one another, step up in times of need, and celebrate each other’s successes. It’s home not just because I live here, but because I’ve raised my family here, served our schools, and invested my time and talents into helping our youth and community thrive. I love that Danville is a city with deep roots, resilience, and potential, and I’m proud to be part of shaping its future.
