A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage.A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Geauga County Job and Family Services for the purpose of any operating or capital improvement expenditure necessary for the support of children services and the care and placement of children the the county auditor estimates will collect $2,331,346 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.7 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $15 for each $100,000 of the county auditor s appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.This proposed tax levy will be presented at each of the LWV Geauga Candidate and Issue Forums:Sep 24 at Kenston High SchoolSep 29 at Cardinal Elementary SchoolSep 30 at Chardon Middle SchoolOct 9 at West Geauga Middle School
