I live in District 6 and have served on City Council for 3 terms.
Expanding pathways to homeownership and housing stability. Investing in small business growth and entrepreneurship. Increasing access to reliable public transportation. Deepening support for youth development and mentoring. Building safe, inclusive neighborhoods where every resident belongs District 6 is the heart of a thriving Spartanburg.
I would improve and expand proactive resident outreach. Often community feedback is reactive to decisions that have already been made. I would also improve better project phasing to minimize impact on downtown businesses. It is important to maintain clear communication with our businesses so they are able to stay in front of any changes that may have any impact on their operations.
