They enact local laws, establish policies and regulations, and ensure the provision of services for the health, safety, and welfare of residents. They approve the annual budget and ensure responsible allocation of funds. They address issues such as zoning, public safety, and community development. Council members work to improve the quality of life for residents, often through the development of parks, recreation facilities, and other community resources.

I currently head the Judicial Committee, which is responsible for writing ordinances and coordinating with the Village Solicitor and County Prosecutor on legal issues. I have written ordinances for the last two terms with those priorities in mind.
