As Fiscal Officer, my top priority is to safeguard taxpayer dollars and ensure that the finances of Boardman Township are managed with accuracy, integrity, and transparency. Long-term fiscal planning is also critical, and I will work closely with the Board of Trustees and department leaders to responsibly forecast revenues and expenses, ensuring that Boardman is prepared for both today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges. At the same time, I will advocate for fair state funding and explore alternative revenue sources to lessen the burden on property taxes while sustaining vital services such as police, fire, roads, and zoning enforcement.
I will meet these priorities by enforcing strong financial oversight and keeping our township’s books accurate, transparent, and accountable. By partnering with the Board of Trustees and township departments, I will create balanced budgets and long-term financial strategies that prepare Boardman for both immediate needs and future growth. I will also work to ease the load on property taxpayers by pursuing grants, partnerships, and alternative funding, while pressing for fair support from the state. At the same time, I will ensure that essential township services—police, fire, roads, and zoning—remain well-funded and dependable. Through sound management and open communication, I will continue to protect the financial strength of Boardman Township.
