I've been a local Buda business owner since 2020 and a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Area Buda Chamber of Commerce since 2021. I love to be involved in any event or group that is attempting to Build a Better Buda.
Managing City Growth Traffic/Safety Retaining Small Town Charm
I support all legal law enforcement that follows the constitution. The City of Buda should focus on the issues directly facing the citizens of our community, and I leave the responsibility of immigration enforcement to the Federal Government.
Every person who lives in the City of Buda has the right to speak in an environment and atmosphere of respect to encourage anyone to step forward and participate in community affairs. There will be no tolerance for any type of hurdles that prevents this from taking place and I support an open-door policy.
My concentration is to embrace the outdoor living lifestyle which Buda is known for by focusing new commercial growth for companies who are offering services for families. Our community is an extremely desirable location because of our proximity in Texas and my goal is to support smart family growth expansion. We need a serious long-term water supply solution to avoid a future potential financial crisis of natural resources. I'm against the damage data centers have on the environment and communities. I'm against any new residential homes in the City of Buda unless builders contribute to water supply and conversation issues.
I served on the Buda EDC board from 2022 to 2024, helping guide strategic investment decisions during a critical growth period. Today I run HEART Advisory Group, coaching local founders and small businesses on strategy, finance, and growth. I'm a current BBA candidate at Texas Tech's Rawls College of Business and an ACC alumnus. Beyond the classroom, I've spent 13 years in technology and business development. That mix of formal business training, real economic development experience, and daily work with Buda's entrepreneurs is exactly what this position requires.
My top priorities are transparency and stewardship, because if we're able to govern ethically and openly, we'll be able to gather the necessary information to make high quality informed decisions on every project, policy, and program.

Stewardship to me means staying on budget, ensuring policies and controls are implemented and followed, and managing costs inline with community needs.

Transparency is keeping the community informed and engaged, in public discussion and discourse, that ultimately leads to deeper connections and clearer convictions for all community leaders and stakeholders.
The city's role should be non-partisan governance. Every Buda resident should feel at home. Our job is to build a community with transparency, where people trust the local government.

Today, the Buda Police Department does not enforce immigration laws, nor does the City of Buda participate in voluntary federal 287(g) agreements. We should comply with any applicable federal and state laws, and when we do, I would expect the law to be applied equally and ethically, with the utmost respect to human dignity and life.
Every citizen is a stakeholder in city decisions, whether they participate in public discussions or not. The existing guidelines are there to respect public input, but being in tech I would like to use more tools to track sentiment and themes in public comments.

Regarding specific guidelines, we should respect everyone's time with guaranteed, undivided, uninterrupted windows to speak. We also should invest in increased civic engagement. I'd love to publish a brief of recurring themes from public input, to reassure residents their input was heard and considered.
Quality of life is the objective. With that said, we must balance commercial and residential growth, otherwise we risk economic drain to the surrounding areas. Buda residents should be able to live, work, and play locally.

All growth is limited by infrastructure, so infrastructure investments must be made to control the growth. Careful due diligence is necessary to ensure we're making the right investments today for tomorrow's opportunities. We've had some great wins recently, because we're pretty good at this. I'd like to see more investments in workforce development to capitalize on the high paying jobs we're bringing to town.
