The Board of Review is a three-member board elected by district (Districts 1 and 2 are up forelection in this election) that is vested with quasi-judicial powers to hear and decide taxpayerappeals of the assessed value or exempt status of real property in Cook County. It is alsocharged with defending the final assessments against taxpayer appeals to the Illinois PropertyTax Appeals Board.
