Biographical Information

What in your background qualifies you to serve in this position?

Why are you running for this position?

Work Experience Forty-two years in public education, primarily in Ashtabula County
Occupation Retired Superintendent of Schools
I have worked in public education for my entire career. My experience as a teacher, guidance counselor, principal and superintendent guides my service on the ESC Governing Board.
Public education is a calling. I have enjoyed a long career in public education and I am pleased to have this opportunity to serve the students and citizens of Ashtabula County in this capacity.
Work Experience I worked for the Jefferson Area Local Schools for 29 years. For my first 14 years, I was employed as a social studies teacher. I also served as a secondary school administrator for the last 15 years of my career.
Occupation Retired Public School Administrator
Both my work experience as a public school teacher and administrator, in addition to my 16 years of experience as a former elected Jefferson Village Councilman, qualifies me for the Governing Board of Education of the Educational Service Center for Ashtabula County (ESC).

Throughout my professional career I had the opportunity to work with the ESC and saw the value in the services and support they provide to the schools of Ashtabula County. Additionally, throughout my service as a Jefferson Village Councilman, I had the opportunity to serve on our Finance Committee which provided me with valuable experience in working with the budgeting of a public entity.

I believe these experiences will serve me well as a member of the ESC Board.

As a public school teacher and administrator I had, throughout my career, the opportunity work with the ESC and their staff as they provided support for both the staff and students of our school district. I see great value in the services they provide to local school districts in our county. As someone who has spent a large portion of their profession career working in public education and appreciating the value of public education, I see a great opportunity to positively contribute to the students and school districts of the Ashtabula County.
