Work Experience
Mechanic, Concrete Laborer, Machinist, US Navy Jet Engine Technician, Rolls-Royce Engine Technician
Occupation
Technical Support Engineer
I've spent most of my life organizing equipment, coordinating people, and managing budgets for multi-million-dollar projects. I am detail oriented. If I do not have a good understanding of a matter, I am good at researching and learning. I have worked with people from different cultures all across the world and I developed good communication skills.
I was very involved with Plymouth Township in my younger years. I tagged along with my mother as she covered township trustee meetings for the Star-Beacon. I served on Plymouth Volunteer Fire Dept. in the 1970's and 1980's. I left Plymouth for 27 years with the US Navy and my career. I returned to Plymouth in 2012, and I wanted to reconnect with the community. I've been attending Plymouth Trustee meetings for about three years now and I see there is a need for good people to step up and take responsibility. When the current trustees asked me to run, I decided this was my time to once again serve my community.
Work Experience
25 years Fire Service / 15 years Ashtabula County Veteran Services / 30+ years Public Service total
Occupation
Veteran Service Officer for Ashtabula County
My professional background includes extensive leadership and management experience across diverse workplace settings. I’ve successfully led both small teams and large-scale initiatives, collaborating with volunteers and professionals to deliver meaningful outcomes for our community.
For several years, I’ve proudly served on the Plymouth Township Zoning Board of Appeals, where I’ve worked to uphold our shared values: pleasant, planned, and progressive. To me, zoning is more than a set of regulations—it’s a commitment to preserving the unique character, beauty, and livability of the place we all call home.
Many residents tell me they feel Plymouth is at a crossroads. I hear you. I’m running for Township Trustee because I believe our community deserves: Transparent, responsive leadership; Thoughtful planning and progress; Support for retirees and youth; Solutions driven by service—not politics. I understand that change can be uncomfortable—especially for a close-knit, mostly retired community like ours. But with thoughtful leadership and collaboration, I believe we can make meaningful progress while honoring what makes Plymouth special.
Work Experience
Before I retired, I was a partner and shareholder in the regional law firm of Roetzel & Andress. My practice was focused on commercial law, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights.
Occupation
I am a (mostly) retired lawyer. I am still licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
I have been a lawyer for 44 years. I have also been a schoolteacher, an Editor-in-Chief of the Akron Law Review, an adjunct law professor, a construction worker, a Medic in the Army National Guard, a leader in my church, a Vice President of the Akron Civic Theatre Board of Trustees, a bankruptcy trustee, a court-appointed receiver, a court-appointed executor, a notary public, and a member of the Plymouth Township Board of Zoning Appeals. All of these experiences will help me carry out the duties of a Township Trustee.
My roots in Plymouth Township are very deep. Many of my friends, relatives, and favorite places are in Plymouth Township. I want to work with the trustees, department heads, employees, and residents to keep Plymouth a pleasant and progressive place.
