Six members shall be elected by the electors of each of the six wards, one from each ward, and three members shall be elected at large by the electors of the Municipality for four-year terms. Our primary responsibility is to ensure that the concerns and interests of our neighbors and residents are effectively addressed and represented in all our actions.
Council members actively create and pass legislation to safeguard the safety of citizens and ensure the city’s financial stability. Additionally, they work diligently to maintain and enhance the city’s infrastructure.
Collaborating closely with the Mayor and the City’s Administration, Council members strive to advance the interests of the City, its citizens, and its businesses. Their goal is to foster smart growth while preserving the unique charm that makes Aurora a special city.
