The City of Aurora’s Council plays a crucial role in its operations. Each Council member represents the residents of Aurora, particularly their individual wards.

Our primary responsibility is to ensure that the concerns and interests of our neighbors and residents are effectively addressed and represented in all our actions.

Council members actively create and pass legislation to safeguard the safety of citizens and ensure the city’s financial stability. Additionally, they work diligently to maintain and enhance the city’s infrastructure.

Collaborating closely with the Mayor and the City’s Administration, Council members strive to advance the interests of the City, its citizens, and its businesses. Their goal is to foster smart growth while preserving the unique charm that makes Aurora a special city.
