Biographical Information

What are your priorities to address the impact on Virginia of the dramatic changes to the Federal Budget and the decrease of Virginia’s tax base due to the loss of Federal employment?

Do you support legislation allowing Virginia to adopt the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (would ensure that every Virginia vote for President is equal to those votes from every other state and DC, while also guaranteeing that the candidate who receives the most votes nationwide wins the Presidency)?

If elected, what will be your top priorities for Virginia?

I support the electoral college. This assures every state has representation based on their number of congressional seats. It balances out the power of the states and is a constitutional compromise to avoid giving more power to the most populous regions. We live in a constitutional republic and not a democracy, which is majority rule.
My top priorities for Virginia are to keep it in the top five states in the country for business, get rid of excessive taxes like the car tax and keep boys out of girls spaces, particularly locker rooms and bathrooms. Also, we need to promote fossil fuels and nuclear for our energy needs with all the data centers we have. The Virginia Clean Energy Act needs to be repealed and we need to stay out of the Regional Green Gas Initiative (RGGI), which passes the costs of carbon credits onto consumers. Wind and solar are not sustainable or reliable sources of energy at this point, and may never be.
