What are your priorities to address the impact on Virginia of the dramatic changes to the Federal Budget and the decrease of Virginia’s tax base due to the loss of Federal employment?

Do you support legislation allowing Virginia to adopt the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (would ensure that every Virginia vote for President is equal to those votes from every other state and DC, while also guaranteeing that the candidate who receives the most votes nationwide wins the Presidency)?

If elected, what will be your top priorities for Virginia?

If federal cuts shrink Virginia’s tax base and payroll, we can’t just “wait it out.” My priorities focus on cushioning the hit now and growing a more resilient, homegrown economy long-term:

Stabilize the budget without gutting services

Protect K-12, public safety, and healthcare first.

Use reserves responsibly and phase hiring freezes/attrition before cuts to frontline services.

Require transparent stress tests so we plan for multiple revenue scenarios, not just best-case.

Targeted transition support for impacted regions

Create rapid-response “base realignment” grants for localities losing federal jobs to backfill with private employers.

Stand up one-stop reemployment hubs for displaced federal/contract workers
Every Virginian’s vote should carry the same weight as a vote cast in any other state. Under our current Electoral College system, millions of votes — especially in reliably “red” or “blue” states — can feel meaningless because the outcome is determined by a handful of swing states. That’s not how democracy should work.
If I’m elected, my top priorities for Virginia will focus on building a stronger, fairer, and more resilient Commonwealth for everyone:

1. Affordable Housing Cost of Living Too many families are being priced out of their own communities. I’ll fight for more affordable housing options, protect renters from unfair practices, and work to keep property taxes and utility costs manageable.

2. Accessible, Quality Healthcare No one should have to choose between paying the bills and getting medical care. I’ll work to protect and expand Medicaid, support rural hospitals, and invest in mental health crisis centers so people can get help when and where they need it.

3. Strong Public Education I’m committed to fully funding our schools
