The greatest challenges I hope to manage if elected are ensuring fiscal responsibility, supporting teachers, and keeping classrooms focused on academics. Taxpayer dollars must be used wisely, with spending that benefits students directly, not bureaucracy. We face teacher shortages, and I will advocate for competitive pay and strong support without lowering professional standards. Parents deserve transparency and a real voice in their children’s education, and schools must focus on reading, math, science, history, and civics—not politics. Finally, we must ensure safe, disciplined classrooms where teachers have authority and students can thrive.

I believe I am the best candidate because I bring both classroom experience and strong management skills to the table. As a teacher, I understand firsthand the challenges our schools face and the importance of supporting students and educators. As a lifelong Roanoke County resident with a background in business and budgeting, I know how to make responsible financial decisions and hold our system accountable. I will prioritize academic excellence, ensure taxpayer dollars go to classrooms—not bureaucracy, respect parents’ voices, and advocate for competitive pay to retain quality teachers. My commitment is to put students first in every decision.

What I like most about living in Roanoke County is the strong sense of community and the shared values that bring people together. This is a place where neighbors look out for one another, families are deeply rooted, and traditions are respected. We have the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, excellent schools, and opportunities that make it a wonderful place to raise a family. I appreciate the balance of small-town values with access to resources that support growth and opportunity. Roanoke County is home, and I am proud to live in a community that truly cares about its people.
