Biographical Information

What are your priorities to address the impact on Virginia of the dramatic changes to the Federal Budget and the decrease of Virginia’s tax base due to the loss of Federal employment?

Do you support legislation allowing Virginia to adopt the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (would ensure that every Virginia vote for President is equal to those votes from every other state and DC, while also guaranteeing that the candidate who receives the most votes nationwide wins the Presidency)?

If elected, what will be your top priorities for Virginia?

Why are you running for this office?

What relevant background and experience do you bring to this position?

Virginia must diversify its economy so that our communities are not left vulnerable to shifts in federal priorities. As a physician, I’ve seen how families struggle when jobs disappear, and I know that long-term health—economic or personal—depends on resilience. My priorities will be:

Strengthening local small businesses and entrepreneurs through targeted tax credits and access to capital.

Investing in workforce development and retraining programs so that displaced federal workers and their families can pivot into high-demand fields like healthcare, renewable energy, and technology.

Supporting rural infrastructure—broadband, transportation, and healthcare access—so that every corner of Virginia can compete for new opportunities.
Yes. I believe every Virginian’s vote should carry equal weight with votes cast in any other state. This ensures that the candidate who wins the most votes nationwide becomes President, while guaranteeing that Virginians are not sidelined by the Electoral College. Supporting this legislation is about fairness, representation, and restoring trust in our democratic process.
My top priorities will be:

Healthcare access and affordability – expanding rural healthcare access, protecting reproductive rights, and ensuring working families can see a doctor without financial hardship.

Economic security – raising wages, supporting small businesses, and protecting retirement security so families can thrive now and into the future.

Education and workforce development – ensuring public schools, vocational training, and higher education prepare our young people for good-paying jobs.

Protecting our freedoms – defending bodily autonomy, voting rights, and equal rights under the law for every Virginian.
I am running because too many families in our community feel unheard and unrepresented. As a physician, I’ve spent my life helping people solve problems with compassion, facts, and practical solutions. In Richmond, I will bring that same problem-solving approach. I believe our district deserves a representative who listens, who puts people above politics, and who works every day to build a healthier, more secure future for Virginia families.
My professional and personal experiences have given me a unique understanding of the struggles families face—whether it’s finding affordable healthcare, balancing work and caregiving, or navigating systems that too often put politics above people. I know how to analyze complex problems, build consensus, and act decisively. That’s what I’ve done in medicine, and it’s what I will do in Richmond: listen carefully, advocate fiercely, and put the health and well-being of my community first.
