The Commissioner of Revenue’s Office responsibilities include assessing tangible personal and business property, assessing public service entities, bank franchises, and business, professional and occupational licenses, providing assistance in the preparation of Virginia State Income Tax returns, filing those returns, and estimated tax payments, administering the meals tax and transient lodging tax, enforcing the City cigarette tax, and administering real estate tax relief or exemptions.Term – 4 years
