Biographical Information

What are your priorities to address the impact on Virginia of the dramatic changes to the Federal Budget and the decrease of Virginia’s tax base due to the loss of Federal employment?

Do you support legislation allowing Virginia to adopt the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (would ensure that every Virginia vote for President is equal to those votes from every other state and DC, while also guaranteeing that the candidate who receives the most votes nationwide wins the Presidency)?

If elected, what will be your top priorities for Virginia?

The loss of federal employment is a serious challenge. We must invest in workforce development so those who have lost their jobs are prepared to transition into new fields or advance in their current ones. I will also push this administration and Republicans in Congress to reverse harmful cuts and restore lost jobs.

When the federal government cuts critical programs like Medicaid or other health benefits, Virginia has a responsibility to protect the services families rely on. And if federal education funding is reduced, we must fully fund our public schools—especially special education and early childhood education—so every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Yes. I believe that in a democracy, every vote should count equally—whether you live in Virginia or in another state. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is a common-sense step that would ensure the candidate who receives the most votes nationwide becomes President. It would make every Virginian’s vote matter and move us closer to a more representative and fair democracy.
Strengthening public education, increasing teacher pay, reducing classroom overcrowding, and ensuring every child has access to a high-quality education.

Lowering costs for families, from property taxes to healthcare to everyday essentials, Virginians are feeling squeezed, and I’ll work to put money back in people’s pockets.

Protecting fundamental freedoms, from reproductive rights to voting rights, I’ll always stand up for the freedoms Virginians rely on.

Building a stronger economy, by investing in infrastructure, clean energy, and workers rights, and ensuring good-paying jobs are available in every community.
