I spearheaded the effort to increase benefits to our Senior & Elderly Tax Relief Program, increasing the maximum amount of relief, allowing more of our seniors to stay in their homes longer once retired. Updated the online billing options to include all taxes, parking tickets and virtually any fee or invoice payable to the City, thereby providing efficiency & convenience to citizens and staff alike. If re-elected, I am working on a "tag-reader" program in conjunction with the Commissioner of Revenue's office which will accomplish 2 goals: identify & bring into compliance all unregistered vehicles in the City & find so called scofflaws with delinquent vehicle taxes, ensuring fair & equal treatment for all citizens in the collection of taxes.
