Gunin Kiran for Board of Supervisors
I served the Montgomery County as a school board member for eight years. I see the board of supervisors seat as my next level of service to my community.
I am not ready to identify the biggest challenge yet. I am aware of the need for affordable housing in the County. I would like to study to see what can be done about it. I am passionate about our public school and regional public library systems. I would like to see the County's support continue. I also would like to look into the mental health needs of our citizens as well as the needs of our homeless population.
During my years on the school board I proved that I will work with every one. I am often called "voice of reason". I am a good listener. I will do my research before I make any decision. I will work with all my fellow supervisors regardless of their party affiliations and try to make decisions with all Montgomery County citizens in mind, not just my constituents. When I commit I commit a hundred percent. I am looking forward to serving Montgomery County as the District A supervisor.
