I have been a member of the community here in Montville for over 20 years and I am eagerly to take on a more active and involved role in my community which I reside. I believe my leadership and organizational skills will benefit in moving us in a forward direction.
I believe the Townships biggest fiscal challenge moving forward is keeping up with the rising costs and inflation in the upcoming years with limited ability to increase revenue.
Moving forward I would like to continue with the upcoming Fire Department expansion and growth. There is also the constant challenger of maintaining our roadways and public spaces.
I believe informing our community is vital. We will inform our community by newsletters, website, and mailings if needed. The communities input is highly valued in our decision. making.

Experience Business owner in Geauga County for 38 years, Montville township trustee since 2005, Montville township zoning commission board member and BZA member prior to trustee position.
Volunteer/Community Service Volunteer for numerous township projects and events. Provided volunteer and community service for the development of Berkshire Local School's Diesel technology program.
I found out a long time ago that the trustee position is more than just a meeting twice a month. You need to be aware of events, issues and problems that take place in all areas of the township not to mention what the State and Federal Government do that effect every resident in the township. Being responsive, pro-active and open while attending meetings out on roadways, county offices, other township meetings is a must, You learn that a key to a well ran township is being able to work with fellow trustees, fire department members, zoning boards, fiscal officer and numerous county agencies. It has helped me out in this role as trustee over the years from operating my own business on how to balance budgets and cut costs where we can.
The ever- changing taxation issues. How to fund township road projects, road general maintenance, building maintenance, fire department equipment and personnel, cemetery maintenance all add up. With-out the support of the residents through levies or income taxes, all the above may see delays in progress to manage what we are trying to do with limited funding.
We have managed to improve almost every dirt road remaining with the exception of Burrows Road which is currently being upgraded. We have a good working relationship with the County Engineer to assist in maintaining the roadways including snow plowing which I hope to continue both challenges in the future while keeping one of the lowest tax rates in Geauga County.
Thanks to Trish for setting up a web site that can continue to keep residents informed if they are unable to attend our township trustee meetings. I will continue to offer time if needed for residents that have questions before, after and in between meetings if requested.

The role of this office is to the best of our abilities use the tax dollars we receive to maintain, repair, and replace the townships infrastructure, equipment, and provide essential services to the residents. With 24 years of working for Geauga County I believe my experience can be a valuable resource to help get the most out of every tax dollar.
The biggest fiscal challenge is the cost of maintaining and replace the townships infrastructure and equipment that are needed for not just our residents but anyone traveling through our township.
Our township is small and one our biggest challenge is to get more of our residents involved with the township to make it better.
To ensure the residents are informed and engaged I would like to build a better more interactive website that is user friendly for our residents.
