It has been my honor to serve the citizens of the City of Fairfax by providing innovative services, in an efficient and courteous manner, while carefully safeguarding confidential customer information.

As Commissioner of the Revenue, I will continue:

1) To build on this tradition of integrity, service, and trust for all residents and business taxpayers.

2) To operate the office in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.

3) To enhance our electronic presence, allowing all residents and businesses to safely submit and access their individual tax account information.
I am a lifelong resident of Fairfax with 40 years of progressively increasing financial management experience. I am a graduate of George Mason University, B.S. Finance, and a Certified Master Commissioner of the Revenue from the University of Virginia. I am a Past Pres., Commissioner of the Revenue Association of Virginia; Chair, Northern Virginia Cigarette Tax Board; Mbr., Virginia Association of Assessing Officers; BoD. Mbr., Historic Fairfax City, Inc.; Past Pres., Historical Society Fairfax County; Past Pres., Fmr. BoD. Mbr. and Secretary of the George Mason University Board of Visitors (governing body); Past Pres., Fairfax Noonday Optimist Club; Fmr. Mbr. Board of Architectural Review, City of Fairfax.
The city is facing a changing retail and commercial real estate environment. In addition, there is significant economic uncertainty from external forces in the near term.

During the potentially difficult days ahead, I pledge to work cooperatively and collectively with city administration and leadership to minimize any potential negative impacts, while ensuring that all taxpayers continue to be treated fairly and uniformly.
