Proposed Charter AmendmentA majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage.Shall Article X, Section 1 of the Charter of the Village of Hunting Valley be amended to provide that a petition for an initiated statute or the referendum to repeal an ordinance shall be signed by registered electors of the Village equal in number to at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the total number of voters casting ballots at the last regular municipal election; and to provide that no ordinance or resolution may be proposed by initiative petition and adopted by election, and no ordinance or resolution of Council may be subject to referendum and repeal by election if any such ordinance or resolution relates to any of the following subject matters: (1) taxation; (2) appropriation of money; (3) the Village Zoning Code, including zoning map and/or zoning regulations; (4) appropriation and/or disposition of real property interests and/or the power of eminent domain; and (5) the Village Building Code?
