Current Occupation 5th Ward Council Person
As a council person, my responsibilities are vast. My primary duty is to represent the interest of the residents in the ward that I serve. However, I am also tasked with other responsibilities like presenting, discussing and voting on policies and changes to local legislation, allocating funds and determining annual budgets.
As the sitting council person since 2016, I bring an immeasurable amount of experience in local government and public policy. I have been a lifelong resident of Lorain County and of the 5th Ward and I am well versed with what is needed in our community. I have great interpersonal skills, meticulous fiscal oversight and a commitment to sustainable progress.
If elected, my focus will be to continue to advocate for affordable housing developments through the Southside Gateway project. I also intend to continue to improve greenspaces like Cityview Park and develop new ones. I also intend to continue to encourage and champion for economic growth and development in my ward.
Training and Experience Former Journeyman Mason Tender for Laborers Local 758 Lorain. 10+ years of Construction Management. Traveling 3/4 of The US gives Me a great Outside Perspective. Attending Council Meetings For the past Three Years.
Current Occupation Owner/Operator at Steadfast Development LLC.
First and Foremost, being Reachable, Responsive, and a Voice of My Constituents. Making an Informed Opinion by talking to both sides of an Issue, while being Empathetic to The People of The 5th Ward. Along with Continuing Community Engagement with The Mindset of what is going to benefit The Citizens, The Commerce and The City of Lorain, with Focus on The 5th Ward.
With Management Background, I know what it takes to bring People Together of All levels of Ability and Backgrounds to see Completion of Projects. Within My Personal Business I’ll be focusing on The Revitalization of Our Neighborhoods Through Rehabbing The Abandoned Homes, and Building Modest, affordable, easy to Maintain New Houses on vacant Lots in Lorain, While Giving Employment and Educational Services to Second Chance Individuals seeking a Opportunity to help with Their Own Rehabilitation. Providing Fair Land Contracts to Those Individuals That cant obtain a conventional Mortgage, which usually is about Half of Rent on of a Comparable House. Home ownership aids in Generational wealth for long-term Stability.
#1 The Homeless. #2 Lack of Affordable Housing. #3 The Economical Revitalization. The Funds will be Secured for My first Investment Property by early Summer with Projection of Completion by The end of The Year 2025. Allowing Me to have The ball rolling By The beginning 2026. With or Without The Democratic Nomination for The 5th Ward Representative, My focus and Business will Remain here. By doing so I’d address all Three issues at Once; Employment and Educational Opportunities to The Homeless. Providing Affordable Housing Options with The Intent of putting Ownership of The House into its Inhabitants. Helping The Former US Steel Location into Being a Reliable Source of Employment again to Provide Economic Development
