CITY OF RAEFORD MAYOR

The Town of Raeford operates under the council-manager form of government. There are five council members and a mayor elected-at-large non-partisan elections for four-year terms, with elections being held every two years. The mayor presides at all council meetings and is recognized as the official head of the town for ceremonial purposes. However, the mayor does not vote on matters coming before the council except in the event of a tie.
