Your Experience/Qualifications 8 years NSSD Board of Directors, 2 terms NSSD Long Range Planning Committee, 1 term Budget Committee
Term 4 Years
Term Expires 2029
I have eight years of board service, including three years as Vice Chair and Board Chair that equips me to understand the framework the board and district operates within. In addition, I have served on the NSSD Budget Committee (1 term), NSSD Long Range Planning Committee (2 terms), Lyons Fire Department Budget Committee (2 terms), Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (3 terms). Professionally, I am in Credit Union executive leadership position with my primary responsibilities including member experience and service, lending and branch operations, and regulatory compliance.
We have a responsibility to know and follow federal and state policies. When the policies do not align with our local values, we have an obligation to advocate for change and to encourage the public to do the same. Advocacy is extremely important - it’s better to advocate early to support policies that align with our values and against those that do not.
I am proud to have worked on our district’s 5 year strategic plan that is nearing public feedback and board adoption. Through this process I actively engaged with district communities, including students, district staff, families, businesses and community members. This process and my board service gives me a clear understanding of the issues facing the district.

We are entering the toughest budget season I have seen, even for a district that has been fiscally conservative and wise in prior budgets. I will support budget decisions that have as little impact as possible in the classrooms.
