Your Experience/Qualifications 28 years of community service as a Captain with South Lane County Fire and Rescue, union representative, and currently serving on the Civil Service Board .
County Lane
I am currently serving on the Civil Service Board for South Lane County Fire and Rescue. I have over 15 years serving as a union representative and feel my skills of communication and willingness to work together for a common good will be of great benefit serving in this role.
I feel as a board member it is my job to see if the policies align with the goal of the district, furthering education and providing an environment where every student can succeed.
As a district we need to explore and implement ways to improve our tests scores as our number one priority. The decline of attendance, especially in the higher grades also needs to be addressed.
