School boards set goals, establish policies, oversee the performance of district schools, and negotiate contracts. The state Board of Education sets broader educational policies and standards that local schools are required to follow.Qualifications: Candidate must be a registered voter and a resident of the district for at least 1 year. Employees of the district are not eligible unless employed as a substitute driver. ORS 332.016 and 332.018(2)Term: 4 years

I currently have four children who attend Triangle Lake Charter School. I am a full time mom & I work PT as an office manager. Prior to staying at home with my children I worked in corporate accounting. I have served on the school budget committee & I am the Booster Club treasurer.

I have a lot of accounting experience as well as being very organized. I’m open minded & I try really hard to understand & have respect for all different opinions.
I feel very comfortable in my understanding. I have attended many school board meetings as well as served on the budget committee.
We need more community involvement & community voices to be heard & valued. We need to focus our budget on supporting our kids & teachers/administrators & making sure our district is accountable to tax payers.
