TOWN OF WEDDINGTON COUNCIL DISTRICT 03

The Town of Weddington operates under the Mayor-Council plan as provided in General Statutes Chapter 160A, Article 7, Part 3. The governing body of the Town of Weddington is the Town Council, which has four members and the Mayor. The Town is divided into four electoral districts and each district is represented on the Council by one member. The Mayor is elected for a two-year term. Council Members are elected for staggered four (4) year terms, and must reside in the district they represent.
