TOWN OF MIDLAND COUNCIL MEMBER

The Town of Midland has a Council-Manager form of government with a Mayor and four Town Council Members, and a professional Town Manager to run the day-to-day operations. Together the Mayor and Town Council Members are responsible for establishing the legislative policies under which the town operates. These include: enacting ordinances, passing resolutions, approving the annual town budget, and setting the property tax rate. Town Council Members also serve to provide collective advice and guidance to the Town Manager as it relates to Town business.The Mayor and four Town Council Members are elected at-large in non-partisan elections for staggered four year terms by a town-wide vote.
