The City of Kings Mountain has a Manager-Council form of government. City Council is the policy making and legislative body of city government and includes a Mayor and seven City Council members.The Mayor is elected at-large in non-partisan elections for a two-year term.City Council Members are elected by district and at-large in non-partisan elections for staggered four-year terms.Ward-specific Council Members must must reside in the ward they represent.
