I’m a Charlotte native, born & raised. I’ve been civically engaged in community for years. I have over 25 years of work experience in corporate America managing billion $ budgets, driving economic development and helping communities thrive. I’ve done the same for District 1 for the last 2 terms on Charlotte City Council and serving as the first district representative to be voted Mayor Pro Tem.
We must continue to bring mixed price point housing on line. Charlotte residents need more affordable housing.

We must invest in a robust public transportation infrastructure. Charlotte is the 14th largest city in America. If we don’t invest in public transportation, we will choke on our own growth.

We must ensure Charlotte remains a safe city to live and thrive. Public safety does not equal CMPD. It takes the whole community to ensure safety for our residents and neighborhoods.
Smart partnerships in the disbursement of our Housing Trust Fund is paramount to increasing affordable housing.

The creation of the new Transit Authority will ensure there is a body purely focused on expanding Public Transportation throughout the city, county and region.

We have to execute tailored specific plans for public safety to be achieved. All neighborhoods are not the same. We have to understand root causes to increase safety throughout the city.
It’s important for voters to understand who is representing them. Know their real names, know their comprehension level of policy, know their experience in economic development, leadership skills, ability to work with a board of other strong policy makers and advocate for District 1 while doing so.

Your representation for District 1 is not something you should “take a chance” on. Stick with proven leadership with a more precise vision for District 1; Danté Anderson.
