I draw my strength and conviction from my twenty-five years of Army service, where I gained broad leadership, and operational/resource management skills from leading diverse teams. With my teams, I was able to accomplish complex logistics and execute strategic plans to meet objectives with great success. After retiring from the military, I applied my leadership skills in the business world by launching an award winning food truck and catering business. My successful transition from a military career to business ownership demonstrates my adaptability, strategic thinking and a focus on operational efficiency.
1. Safety and security in our community.
2. Develop a solid infrastructure plan that will support future local business and technology and manufacturing in our town.
3. Transparency and accountability from our town leadership.
It is my view that bringing safety and security in our community to the forefront is of utmost importance. Addressing crimes, the underserved and homelessness in our community by providing awareness, resources, and support.
The much needed Public Safety building, is necessary for solid growth in our town and will make it more favorable in attracting new industries who can provide a livable wage for our community. Transparency and accountability is paramount to a strong community. I will work with town leadership to establish clear expectations and implement systems that support and reinforce a culture that operates with a mindset of openness and make sure leaders are accountable for their actions.
My wife, Molly and I enjoy the outdoors; hiking the trails around the foothills, kayaking on Lake Rhodhiss, and strolling downtown Valdese. We love patronizing local coffee shops and restaurants. I have two sons, Chandler lives Chapel Hill, NC and Forrest lives in Nashville, TN.
