I am Cameron Ramseur, a life-long resident of Maiden, North Carolina and I am excited to be a candidate for the Maiden Town Council. This is an opportunity to serve the town. The last 4 years we have made a lot of excellent changes. Maiden is a special place. It is a Town with a Future that everyone who lives here needs to experience. There is no doubt, Maiden is growing. With this growth, we want to ensure new citizens (all citizens) feel the sense of community and unity that defines who and what Maiden is all about. This happens when we embrace the growth and diversity that is now part of our town. We invite our new citizens in so they understand who we are and what we value as a community. My campaign is about people, all people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, ability level, socioeconomic level, or sexual orientation. My command is to love, not to judge. I solicit your support and will appreciate your vote on November 4th for Cameron Ramseur for the Maiden Town Council.

I have served on council for 6 years and have experience in municipal government, budget management and negotiation. I have represented The Town of Maiden in multiple forums and have always conducted myself professionally, knowledgeably, and with pride in the community I serve. I bring transparency and open dialogue as a council member. I firmly believe our citizens deserve open and honest communication in all aspects of government management. My work experience as a nurse leader brings expertise in communication skills, conflict management, and project management.
Most importantly, continue to provide a safe and growing community that our citizens love to call home. We live in a unique town with strong community involvement. I never want the Town of Maiden to lose the pride, connection, and bond we have.
Secondly, I want to support continued strategic well-planned growth for the Town of Maiden. This includes continued recruitment of industry and jobs while also fostering small business development which makes our community unique. I want to see our downtown thrive with successful small businesses.
Lastly, I want to enhance our parks and recreation opportunities for residents of all ages so that citizens clearly see their tax dollars benefiting their families.
I will continue to support our service workers including police, fire, and public works to keep our community safe. Our town expects a high standard in these areas and we have the right people in place to deliver the expected safety standard. A safe community does not just happen by chance. It requires strong leadership to model and set the expectations. We must continuously work to maintain our safe community. I will also continue to support the events our town offers to strengthen the our community bond and focus on family.
I am committed to continuing to serve the citizens of Maiden. I love this community and I want to continue to work for you. Growth is important for our financial future, but it must be calculated and intentional to preserve the culture we have grown to love. I have no other agenda other than to help build the future of Maiden.
