CITY OF MORGANTON COUNCIL MEMBER DISTRICT 03

The 5-member City Council consists of the Mayor and four Council Members. City Council is responsible for adopting ordinances and setting policies that affect the city. To implement its policies and enforce its ordinances, the city council hires a city manager, who serves at the pleasure of the council and prepares the city budget, directs day-to-day city operations, and serves as the council s chief policy adviser. The four Council members are elected at-large in non-partisan elections for staggered four-year terms; Council Members must reside in the district they represent. I have prior experience in running a municipal department in another city. I also have experience from my law practice that I feel will be helpful in this position.
