I am a public servant, not a politician. My nearly 20 years of hands-on local government experience give me a unique, comprehensive view of how our town works—from reviewing development plans for Raleigh to managing public works operations in Zebulon. That practical knowledge, combined with my background as an Air Force veteran and pastor, has shaped me into a consensus-builder who leads with integrity. I don’t just understand growth pressure issues; I’ve lived them from the ground up. My skills are perfectly matched for this moment in Zebulon to restore stability and lead us forward.
(1) Restore Principled Leadership & Trust: The current crisis of leadership has eroded public trust and led to instability. My top priority is to restore professionalism, transparency, and accountability to Town Hall.
(2) Ensure Thoughtful & Predictable Growth: Our rapid growth requires a steady, experienced hand. We must have a clear, reliable process to ensure we are attracting investment and that our infrastructure keeps pace.
(3) Strengthen & Unify Our Community: We must actively preserve our small-town character. This means championing local businesses, investing in our parks, and ensuring we are one Zebulon, not a town divided between those new to town and native residents.
Restoring trust isn't just a goal, it is a necessity. I will lead by example, by being truthful, from day one. I will ask my fellow board members to join me in fostering a climate of civility and respect at board meetings where disagreements never devolve into disrespect. I will champion our council-manager form of government, empowering our professional staff to do their jobs without political interference. Finally, I will insist that all important discussions and decisions are made in the open, ensuring residents can see exactly how their government is working for them. Trust is earned through consistent, honest action.
This election is about the future of our town’s character. As a lifelong resident raising four children here, my wife and I have a deep, personal stake in that future. My goal is to unify our community—we are not "old Zebulon" and "new Zebulon," we are one. I see the Mayor’s office not as a position of power, but as a privilege to serve. I’m asking for your vote to bring principled leadership, a servant’s heart, and a spirit of togetherness back to Town Hall. I am rooted in principle and ready to serve.
