I’ve owned and operated Exum Photography in Alamance County for over 25 years, leading a team of creative professionals in the fast-paced world of commercial photography. Every day requires innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving to deliver unique visual solutions for a wide range of clients. This experience has taught me how to lead effectively, think creatively, manage complex projects, and find practical solutions—skills that directly translate to thoughtful, results-driven leadership on the Town Council.
1. Expand Electric Vehicle Adoption: Work to make EV ownership easier by improving charging infrastructure, supporting local incentives, and positioning Elon as a forward-thinking, environmentally responsible community.
2. Advance Solar Energy: Promote solar installations on municipal buildings to reduce long-term costs, strengthen energy independence, and inspire residents to adopt clean energy at home.
3. Promote Health & Wellness: Support programs that encourage outdoor recreation, walking and biking paths, and healthy food access to help residents live longer, more active, and connected lives.
Once in office, I will work to expand Elon’s electric vehicle infrastructure by pursuing grants and partnerships that make local charging more accessible. I’ll advocate for solar installations on municipal buildings to lower costs and demonstrate the benefits of clean energy to residents. I’ll also promote community wellness by supporting walking and biking trails, park connectivity, and healthy food access so residents can live longer, more active, and connected lives.
As a 25-year business owner in Alamance County, I’ve built a career on creative problem-solving, teamwork, and accountability. I’m running for Town Council because I believe Elon can model smart, sustainable growth while improving the daily lives of its residents. I’ve personally overseen the installation of three solar arrays—two on properties I own and one I manage—and my family proudly drives three electric vehicles. These experiences have shown me the real-world benefits of renewable energy and sustainable choices. My priorities—expanding EV infrastructure, advancing municipal solar adoption, and promoting community wellness—reflect a commitment to practical progress and long-term vision. By working collaboratively and planning thoughtfully, I will help keep Elon a vibrant, forward-thinking, and healthy place to live, work, and raise a family.
