Position/philosophy statement
Plan for Pittsboro. Plan for our future. Plan together.
Current Occupation
Engineer
I’m running to keep Pittsboro moving forward while protecting what makes it special. I’ve served as a Planning Board member, Commissioner, and now Mayor, giving me a deep understanding of how our town works and grows. As an engineer, I manage large infrastructure projects for a global tech company, which helps me bring practical, data-driven solutions to challenges like water, housing, and transportation. I also serve as Board Chair for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina, keeping me connected to local families and youth. I’m committed to a Pittsboro that’s welcoming, sustainable, and true to its small-town heart.
1. Community & Quality of Life: Keep our downtown vibrant while expanding parks, sidewalks, and programs that bring people together and make Pittsboro a great place to live.
2. Managed Growth: Ensure new development fits our community’s values, supports local businesses, and protects Pittsboro’s small-town character.
3. Infrastructure & Partnerships: Work with Chatham County, Sanford, and state partners to improve roads, public spaces, and essential services.
I’ll focus on projects that strengthen community life—supporting a vibrant downtown, improving walkability, and expanding parks and gathering spaces. By planning growth thoughtfully and collaborating regionally, we can enhance quality of life while keeping Pittsboro’s welcoming, small-town spirit. My approach centers on listening, partnership, and investing in what connects us.
I’m proud of the progress we’ve made in Pittsboro by strengthening partnerships, improving transparency, and keeping our small-town spirit alive as we grow. I believe good leadership means listening, communicating clearly, and making thoughtful decisions that reflect our shared values. My goal is to keep Pittsboro connected and welcoming, support our local businesses, and protect the history and natural beauty that make our town special.
