I bring decades of leadership experience as President of Peters Custom Homes, where I’ve managed complex projects, balanced budgets, and built strong teams. My background has taught me how to negotiate with powerful stakeholders, listen to clients, and deliver results while maintaining integrity. My skills in problem solving, relationship building, and strategic vision uniquely prepare me to serve as a proactive, engaged mayor who will protect the character of our town while planning for smart growth.

Smart Growth & Development Control – Protect Sunset Beach from overdevelopment by opposing chain hotels, fast food, and high-rises, while encouraging thoughtful, small-scale growth that fits our town’s character.

Transparency & Accountability – Ensure residents’ voices are heard by increasing public input, attending all critical meetings, and stopping backroom decision-making.

Regional Partnerships & Infrastructure – Build strong relationships with neighboring towns, county, and state leaders to secure resources for roads, drainage, parking solutions, and long-term planning.

Together, these priorities protect our small-town charm while preparing for a stronger future.

I will address growth by putting residents first and ensuring development matches the character of Sunset Beach. I will oppose high-rises, chain hotels, and fast-food commercialization while working with property owners and investors to attract boutique-style projects that strengthen our town without overwhelming it. I’ll attend all planning and committee meetings, push for stronger zoning enforcement, and increase transparency so residents are included before decisions are finalized. By building partnerships at the county and state level, I’ll secure support for infrastructure and environmental protection, ensuring growth happens on our terms—not at the whim of outside interests.

Sunset Beach is at a crossroads. Residents are frustrated with overdevelopment, parking issues, and leadership that has not been proactive. I am running to bring integrity, transparency, and energy to the mayor’s office. My approach is simple: show up, listen, and lead. Since announcing my candidacy, I’ve met with department heads, attended committee meetings, and reached out to surrounding mayors to start building the partnerships our town has lacked for years.

I am not a developer, nor do I support chain hotels, high-rises, or commercialization that would erode the character of our community. I am committed to protecting Sunset Beach’s charm while planning responsibly for its future. My vision is a mayor who is accessible, engaged, and willing to fight for residents every day.

I will work to unify a divided community and ensure that every resident—full-time or part-time—feels heard and represented. Together, we can protect what makes Sunset Beach special.

ihave had the pleasure to serve the Citizens of Sunset Beach NC since my election as Mayor in 2019 . The Town has experienced growth as other Brunswick County Towns have in the last few years and i have tried to be a voice for the Citizens of our Town to try and ready our Town for the problem that this rapid growth has created. Even though our Town's Mayor position isn't one of voting power it has allowed me to give the Citizens the opportunity to speak and have spoke myself to our Current Council that i have served with trying to make them understand the importance we owe to our Constituents and their daily lives as Citizens on our Town. Sometimes it seems to fall upon deaf ears but i don't quit. Respect for our Citizens is my best skill

Financial Responsibility- spending of taxpayers money wisely and making good decision that are feasible to the Future in our Town to take the burdens of Life off our Taxpayers. Stop waste by prioritizing the needs over the wants. Infrastructure - readying our Town for the growth we have had to encounter in Brunswick County and preparing our Town for the future obstacles we face in our Roads and public service provided to our Town . Respect and Transparency for the People- restoring Trust of the Citizens for the failures of bad decisions in our Town that has led to unwise spending and turning it around to benefit majority nor small areas as we have dealt with in poor decision making in the past.

Continue to ask for studies and financial help from our County and State as many things that have become our Taxpayers burdens are not from within but cause by the areas around us. Using Grants to assist in readying our Roads and Service we have to have and provide for our Citizens without the burden of the money coming directly from our pockets. My ability to reach to the Top instead of starting at the bottom to channel a hope of help that we can have for our Citizens and not being afraid of rejection and the ability to try again for the betterment of SunsetBeach thru networking and communication with higher elected leaders in our State.

Every Voice should have a Vote and the chance is here to use it in readying our Town for the expected and unexpected items we must address together to make this Town feasible for the Now and Future. We are all in this together as we have chose Sunset Beach to be our Home and should want good for all whom chose to live here for the Good of the Future we are so blessed to have been given .
