TOWN OF OAK ISLAND MAYOR

The Town Council is the governing body of Oak Island, consisting of five Council Members and the Mayor. The Town Council sets the Town policy, enacts ordinances and adopts the annual budget. The Mayor and Council Members are elected at-large in non-partisan elections by all the qualified voters of the Town in odd numbered years. The Mayor is elected to a four-year term. Council Members are elected to staggered four-year terms.
