I am a retired Marine, nonprofit CEO, and advocate for veterans with a lifelong commitment to service. My leadership experience has taught me the importance of integrity, accountability, and transparency. As CEO of a faith-based nonprofit, I have managed budgets, built partnerships, and expanded programs that strengthen families and communities. I bring proven leadership as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, small business owner, and Town Council member dedicated to Newport’s growth. My experience spans municipal planning, infrastructure development, and budgeting, combined with a career in social work focused on strengthening families and communities. I have built successful organizations, managed statewide programs, and guided local initiatives with transparency and accountability. These skills in governance, problem-solving, and community service make me well-prepared to represent and advocate effectively for Newport’s future.
My top priorities are financial security and excellence, ensuring Newport operates with transparency, responsibility, and long-term fiscal stability. I am equally committed to supporting growth that brings opportunity while preserving the small-town character and values that define who we are. Finally, I will focus on strengthening our infrastructure and quality of life by investing in reliable water, sewer, and road systems, as well as community spaces that benefit residents today and for future generations.
To strengthen Newport’s financial security, I will ensure every budget decision is transparent, accountable, and focused on long-term stability. This means carefully reviewing expenditures, prioritizing essential services, and identifying opportunities for smart savings without cutting what matters most to families. I will also work to expand our tax base through responsible growth that brings in revenue while keeping rates fair. By combining fiscal discipline with community investment, we can secure Newport’s future.
